Morgan Ashurst constructs a national breeding center for dogs

Published: 11-Mar-2010

Morgan Ashurst has landed a contract to build a national breeding center for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (Guide Dogs) in Leamington Spa.

Under this contract, Morgan Ashurst will construct the center, which will be a flagship site for the charity, complete with visitor and educational facilities.

The breeding center will consist of one and two-story buildings, will be fitted out with kennels, meetings rooms and staff accommodation. It will incorporate a number of environmentally-friendly features including a biomass boiler and rainwater harvesting.

The new center will enable Guide Dogs to increase the number of puppies currently bred a year from 1,100 to around 1,550. Construction work would begin in this month and is scheduled to be completed in July 2011.
